New guidance – Wording of questions that ask about criminal records

As part of the initial development of this site, we’ve published our first set of detailed guidance which follows a template structure that we believe will work well for other forms of guidance we’re looking to develop in the future.

We chose the first subject – “the wording of questions that ask about criminal records” – for a couple of reasons:

  1. It’s one of the most common areas we get questions about
  2. It’s allows us to combine online guidance with downloadable resources
  3. A lot of employers tend to struggle with it
